How many applicants are selected to become ambassadors?
While the number of accepted ambassadors varies from cohort to cohort, we typically invite approximately 30 new members into the organization.
How much time should I expect to commit to the visitor center?
Each ambassador serves a 3 hour volunteer shift in the visitor center each week. During your new ambassador training, you will meet for a two-hour meeting each week. Once you are a seasoned ambassador, you will only meet for one hour a week in addition to your volunteer shift.
Is there an advantage to submitting my application early?
While we do not accept applicants based upon the time of their application submission, submitting an application over the summer or early in the semester does mean that a larger panel will review your application over a longer period.
