A: While the number of ambassadors vary from cohort to cohort, we typically invite around 30 new members into the organization.

Q: How much time should I expect to contribute to the Visitor Center?

A: Each ambassador serves a three hour shift in the Visitor Center weekly. During your new ambassador training, you will meet for a two-hour meeting each week. Once you are a seasoned ambassador, you will only meet for one hour in addition to your weekly shift.

If you are interested in our University Ambassador program, you may also be interested in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions outreach programs, Gamecock Connection and MOST (Multicultural Outreach Student Team). Both programs work large-scale Admissions events, serve on student panels, talk to students back at their high schools and meet with students one-on-one to help recruit future Gamecocks. Gamecock Connection is the general Admissions Student Volunteer group, and MOST is the group that focuses on multicultural student recruitment.
